Who we are

What we collect

Only what Amka needs to work for you:

• Your account. Name and email address, handled by our sign-in provider. We never see or store your password.
• What you write and record. Your conversations with Grace, life-story chapters, photos you upload, Legacy Vault messages, prayer journal entries, songs, and artwork.
• Brain game scores. Results from the games you play. These are for your own encouragement. They are not a medical assessment and we do not use them to evaluate your health.
• Family connections. Contacts you add, family members you invite, and posts shared on your family board.
• Subscription details. Your plan, status, and renewal date. Card numbers go directly to our payment processor - they never touch our servers.
• Basic site analytics. On public marketing pages only, using a random identifier in your browser. No cookies, no IP addresses, and never on the pages you use once signed in.

How Grace works, and what that means for your words

Grace is artificial intelligence, not a person. To answer you, the text of your recent conversation is sent to our AI provider, which generates her reply. When you turn on “Read aloud,” Grace may speak using a voice that runs entirely on your own device - in that case nothing is sent anywhere. If your device cannot run it, the text of Grace’s reply (never yours) is sent to a speech provider to be turned into audio.

Grace is a companion. She is not a doctor, therapist, or emergency service, and nothing she says is medical advice.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only with the providers that make Amka run: sign-in and account security, database and file hosting, payment processing, email delivery, the AI that powers Grace, optional speech synthesis, and error monitoring. Each receives only what its job requires.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or where we believe in good faith that someone is at risk of serious harm.

Your family, and what they can see

Amka is built for sharing with the people you choose. Anything you post to a family board is visible to members of that family. Your private material - your conversations with Grace, your prayer journal, unsent Legacy Vault messages - is not shared with family members, and our staff do not read it. Administrators can see account and subscription details, and content that has been reported for safety review, but not your private writing.

Your choices and rights

• Take your data with you. Settings has a one-click export of everything you have written.
• Delete everything. Settings also lets you delete your account outright. This removes your content, your photos and artwork, and your sign-in record. It cannot be undone.
• Stop the emails. Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that choice - including after account deletion - so we do not accidentally email you again.
• Ask us anything. Write to alerts@media4u.fun and we will answer.

If you live in California, you may request the categories of personal information we collect and how we use them, request deletion, and be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. The tools above cover all of it, and you are welcome to email us instead.

How long we keep things

We keep your content for as long as your account is open, so your story is there when you come back. When you delete your account we remove it. Limited records we are required to keep - billing history, and the unsubscribe list described above - are retained as long as the law requires.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit, sign-in is handled by a dedicated provider so we never hold your password, and access to production systems is limited. No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise - but we treat what you write here as something entrusted to us.

Children

Amka is made for adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email rather than quietly editing the page.
