What Amka is

Amka is a companion app: an AI companion named Grace, a place to record your life story, a Legacy Vault for messages to the people you love, brain games, music, art, a prayer journal, and a private family board.

Amka is not medical care

This is the most important thing on this page. Amka does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Grace is artificial intelligence. She is not a doctor, nurse, therapist, or emergency service, and she can be wrong. Brain game scores are for encouragement only and are not a cognitive assessment, a diagnosis, or a screening tool.

Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here. In an emergency call 911. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 - the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline - any time, day or night.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You may help a family member use Amka, but the account holder is responsible for the account.

Your trial, and what it costs

• Every new account starts with a free 14-day trial. No card is required to begin.
• After the trial, Amka is $19.99 per month or $199 per year for one person, and $39.99 per month or $399 per year for a family of up to ten.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings, and you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
• If we ever change prices, we will tell you before it affects you.

What you write stays yours

Your stories, photos, recordings, and messages belong to you. You give us only the permission we need to operate the service - to store your content, show it back to you, and share it with the family members you choose. We do not use your private content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

Using Amka respectfully

Please do not:

• Upload content you do not have the right to share.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse another member, including on a family board.
• Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Use Amka to break the law.

Members can report content that concerns them. We may hide or remove content, and suspend or close accounts, when these terms are broken or when someone appears to be at risk.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your content permanently. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering the service - in which case we will give you notice and a chance to export everything you have written.

The legal part

Amka is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, Media4U LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email when the change is significant.
